MEET OUR COACHES
My name is Katie Metz, and I am excited to be the head coach of the Kingsgate Gators! Here is a little information about me. I was born and raised in Bellevue, Washington. After graduating high school, I moved to Greeley, Colorado where I studied K-12 music education at the University of Northern Colorado. Now during the school year, I am the music teacher at John Muir Elementary. In the summers, for the past 6 years, I have been in charge of swim camp at Bellevue Club where I have also been teaching swim lessons for the past 10 years. From the age of 5 to the age of 18, I swam every summer on the Phantom Lake swim team; I am very excited that the Gators will be swimming against them this year! Summer swim team was one of my favorite parts about growing up and I am so excited to be part of the summer swim community again. I love swimming so much and I am looking forward to showing my love of swimming through my coaching. Once again, I am so excited to be the head coach and I look forward to a great season!
