    Gator Updates & Reminders 7/2

    July 2nd

    Greetings Gators, we hope you have an enjoyable fourth if your family celebrates it. Only three more meets and champs! Let’s finish strong.

    Here are some updates and reminders for next week…

    1. MEET DECLARATION:

    - Declare on the Swimmingly Clubhouse website (https://clubhouse.swimmingly.app)

    - Please review the Gator Handbook for details regarding meet declaration expectations. https://kingsgategators.swimtopia.com/parent-handbook

    - The deadline is Friday before the coming week’s meets at 9pm (The deadline for the 7/11 AND 7/13 meet is 7/7 at 9pm)

    - A declaration left blank will be viewed as non-attendance.

    2. PRACTICE EXPECTATIONS: “All swimmers must attend practices regularly. Improvement is positively impacted by coming to practice every day, being prepared to work hard, and listening to the coaches.”

    - Morning practice is M-F (M-Th for 8 and under) and there IS practice on meet days https://kingsgategators.swimtopia.com/practice-schedule.

    3. RIBBONS: Ribbons are available for pickup during practice. Look for the file folder bins or ask us. We are still missing ribbons for a few meets but they will trickle in soon. We appreciate your patience.

    4. 7/6 AWAY MEET: We will be at Seattle Tennis Club. Additional information will be sent once we receive it from the hosting team.

    5. SEASON WRAP UP: Save the date July 14th. During the practice time, 8am-930am we will have a “fun meet”. And that evening, we will have an awards ceremony in the lower field followed by a pool party for the team.

    6. DIV. CHAMPS: Save the date July 15th. The location will be the Snohomish Aquatic Center from 8am-noon. A meet will be posted on the Swimmingly clubhouse to declare soon-ish. Division champs (aka B champs) are when all six teams in our division compete together. Please attend if you can. It is a lot of fun and a great way to end the season with a positive experience for the majority of our team.

    7. Water Polo: Midlakes offers water polo during the month of Aug. Four local swim teams (Royals, Monarchs, Gators, and Dolphins) join to make one WP team. More information will be sent as it becomes available. https://kingsgateroyals.wordpress.com/kingsgate-water-polo-main/
