Greetings Gators, take your marks… BEEP. Welcome to the 2026 season! We are excited to work with your family, see your swimmer grow, and look forward to a robust season.

(1) Mandatory Team Meeting: Monday, May 4 from 7:15pm – 8:45pm at John Muir Elementary

The team meeting will be open house style with various stations set up to greet the coaches, confirm SafeSport completion; get signed up for team communications and swimmingly; learn about volunteer opportunities; order team suits/merch; and more! At 8pm, there will be a brief presentation from the coaches.

For new families, expect to spend 60 minutes getting oriented. For returning families,
you will breeze through the stations. For all swimmers, when connecting with the coaches be ready to define what success means to you.

Each family will earn one volunteer point for attending the meeting and completing the checklist; those not in attendance will need to make up the volunteer point during the season.

Team Meeting: Thursday, May 4 at 7:15pm at John Muir Elementary

First day of Practice: Monday, May 18^th

Kingsgate Invitational: June 6 in the morning at Highwoodlands

Regular Season Meets: June 15, 18, 23, 25, 30 July 2, 7, 9, 14, 16

Division Champs Meet: July 17 or 18 (location TBD)

League Champs Meet: July 26 at KCAC

(3) SafeSport: Complete by May 4 (Bring a screenshot of your certificate or complete it at the team meeting)

(4) Volunteering: The Gators is a 100% volunteer ran team. Each family will contribute 10-12 volunteer hours per season; roughly equal to 6-8 points. Exact points needed
per family for the season are still being calculated. Volunteer sign up for the season will be coming in late May.

(5) Coaches: We are thrilled to welcome back Coach Jess and Coach Savannah. We are looking to hire an assistant coach if you know anyone interested.

(6) MORE Aquatic Sports: Midlakes also offers Dive Team and Waterpolo. Dive team is mid June – end of July. Waterpolo is the month of August. Please reach out if you are interested and we will connect you with the local team.
