Gators 2026 - Team Email 6/12
Greetings Gators,
Thank you everyone for a great week!
Looking ahead…
6/12 9pm (TODAY) - Declarations will close for the 6/15, 6/18, and 6/20 meets.
6/15: Away Meet - We will be hosted by the Kingsgate Monarchs and the Kingsgate 3/4 pool. Attached is the meet info from the host team. Warm ups are at 5:15 for Gators, the meet starts at 6pm. Our website also has away meet information.
6/16: Team Photos
- No practice
- Team photo at 7pm, individual photos available. Sign up HERE (as if you are signing up for a job. Note: this will not count towards family participation point total and is only your RSVP for the event)
- Photo ordering instructions come directly from the photographer via email.
6/18: Home Meet - We will be hosting the Kingsgate Monarchs at home. Our website has all the home meet information. Please review and plan accordingly. The pool/parking lot will open at 4:15 for set up, warm ups are at 4:45 for Gators, the meet starts at 6pm. Additionally, we will have a food truck for each home meet. Once finalized, food trucks will be listed on the team calendar.
*Any musical Gators who want to sing/perform the national anthem?
Meet Reminders…
Meet Scratching: If you have an emergency or illness and cannot attend though you have declared attending, please DM the coaches on GroupMe or email ASAP.
Meet Volunteers: If you are volunteering 6/15 and/or 6/18, you will receive a reminder/confirmation from participation. If there is a conflict, it is the volunteer’s responsibility to arrange for a substitute.
6/20: Optional Distance meet at NHST. 8am warmups, 9am start. More info to come.
6/27: Swim Clinic:Optional opportunity for swimmers who want more practice on specific strokes, turns, and diving technique
- Two Time Options: 9:00-10:20 OR 10:25-11:45
- Select one time slot for each swimmer you are signing up. If you have multiple swimmers for the same slot, use other family members or reply to this email and we can add you.
- RSVP HERE (as if you are signing up for a job. Note: this will not count towards family participation point total and is only your RSVP for the event)
Status updates…
- Team Merch: The merch order is also TBD and have not received an ETA yet. Hopefully we will soon
- Buddies: Gators who are under the age of 10 AND new the team will be paired up with an older swimmer to learn the ins and outs of summer swimming. Thank you to all the big buddies willing to pay it forward to! Matches will be sent separately before Monday.
- Stanchions: The backstroke stanchions anchors are in the process of being replaced. Apologies for the delay.
- Tech: Please make sure all devices are updated to Version 13 of the Swimmingly App.
